I came to Brenham due to an ugly custody battle that resulted in my being homeless with my two school aged children. I was referred to the mission by the police dept. I was never moved into the mission because I had 5 backpacks to my name and there wasn't room? in the trunk for them? Not sure why, but I was put in a seedy hotel where I spent every day being moved out onto the sidewalk at 11am while they determined until 5pm if I was still in need!! We were hungry, thirsty, and it was 110 degrees outside. They deserted us completely over the weekend and I was
