Originally trained as a Rolf Structural Integration Practitioner, I work with the structure of the body (ie:  how things are put together), to open and balance the body, thereby releasing chronic pain patterns.  I provide and teach manual therapy for chronic pain including back pain, sciatica, sacral pain, and neck pain.  In working with structure, I approach the body from a neurological aspect, freeing nerves as they exist the spine as well as throughout the body using myofascial techniques.  Vertebrae are de-rotated at the spine using slow and gentle soft-tissue methods designed to free facet restrictions.  I also treat visceral restrictions which are common causes of structural distortion.  The manual therapy provided is specifically tailored to the client needs and is not painful, utilizing gentle unwinding techniques rather than outdated high pressure methods. Working with the body from a neurological and rotational approach allows me to work with nearly every type of chronic pain including including long-standing back pain, neck pain, hip pain, sciatica, and frozen vertebrae as well as other restricted joints in the body.
