We have created a yoga atmosphere for all,warm and inviting to all that practice yoga. Yoga For All! The Downward Dog Yoga Studio offers teacher training in partnership with Finding Inner Peace Yoga School in Abington. 200 Hour Curriculum includes: 100 Hours: Yoga Techniques Asanas, Pranayamas, Kriyas, Chanting, and Meditation. Includes both training in the techniques and practice of them. 30 Hours: Yoga Teaching Methodology Principles of demonstration, observation, assisting/correcting, instruction, teaching styles, qualities of a teacher, and the student's process of learning. Techniques include: • Chair Yoga • Yoga for Seniors • Prenatal Yoga • Yoga for Children • Partner Yoga • Restorative Yoga • Body Awareness 30 Hours: Anatomy & Physiology Includes basic introduction to anatomy of movement, physiology of poses, structural alignment and the human energy system. 30 Hours: Philosophy, Ethics & Yogic Lifestyle Study of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and other scripture, Codes of Ethics for Yoga Teachers, Moral Precepts and Practices of Purification (kriya) and Kirtan (mantra). 10 Hours: Student Practicum Hours of documented student teaching, assisted or observing other approved teachers.

I was "coming back to the mat" as the nice people at Downward Dog calls it.I have been away due to family stuff...and am I so glad I am back and found this studio.The studio is clean and has a welcoming sense to it.The teacher I had was great and they want you to come back and experience the other teachers and other styles of classes they offer....with the new student deal (2 Weeks/unlimited class for $25)...I am back to the mat!...And they got a Rewards/Referral program too!
