Card Payment Solutions was founded in 1999 and remains one of the fastest-growing organizations of its kind in the merchant services industry. CPS is independently managed by many of same personnel that built it. With a desire to operate in a better and more honest way than they had experienced from the client perspective, our founders had the intent to build CPS into a dominant and respected force in the industry. Supported by consultation with industry leaders, proper groundwork was laid very early in the history of the company, so that growth could occur consistent with the company's philosophy. The philosophy of CPS includes three elements. The first, customer service, has two parts. One is a high standard of focus on the business needs and ongoing care of our clients. This applies from the smallest to the largest Merchant we serve. The other aspect is a constant effort to give such service at the lowest possible cost consistent with the need for profitability as a company. Since CPS is independently managed—not driven by the immediate needs of non-involved shareholders—a beneficial long-term approach is possible. The second element is a drive for state-of-the-art technology in all aspects of the payment processing we perform, along with a search for future technologies-so that we can serve our clients more cost-effectively and with better benefits and choices for their business. We always remember that new technologies should not be adopted merely for their newness, but because of true need—and only after research and experience have proved their practicality.
