This summer my cat escaped out the front door of my home as I was caring groceries inside, and the little rascal happily fled into some thick bushes behind my home. She refused to be captured and spent the better half of the day exploring the outside world of our neighborhood. When we finally got her in the house we later discovered she had carried in some unwanted pest....fleas. I called my vet and they gave me some advice as well as the flea treatment to put on her back.
