Gigging Gigging, it’s like fishing and hunting combined. We begin at night during low tide and stay out until we’ve gigged our limit. From the safety and comfort of our spacious fully equipped flat-bottom boat with modern lighting and a quiet motor, we transverse the backwaters and sand flats. Flounder gigging has been a favorite past time in Charleston for 100's of years. Stories tell of Native Americans gigging flounder using bamboo spears and torches to spot fish in the water. The Colonist used wooden giggs and kerosene lanterns. Today we illuminate the water with high powered halogen lighting, custom gigs, and we do it from the comfort and safety of our 17 foot flat bottom boats.
