As a long term care insurance consultant, my mission is to educate people about the risks associated with long term care and come up with the right solutions. Initially, this may involve a discussion with parents, spouse or children in which I ask: What is your plan in the event that you or a loved one needs long term care? And what role will you, your spouse and children or other family members fulfill? And how will you pay for it? These are not easy questions to answer. And inevitably, long term care insurance becomes a critical part of the conversation. It can address these questions and provide financial savings and greater peace of mind for everyone involved.
