About

I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist with fifteen years of experience working in the mental health field. I have been practicing as a licensed MFT in California since 2007. Prior to starting my private practice in Kentfield, I worked full-time as the Clinical Director of La Familia Counseling Service in Hayward, California. I provided clinical supervision to staff and interns and helped facilitate clinical case conferences and didactic seminars while working at La Familia. I also supervised a multi-disciplinary team providing comprehensive mental health services to clients in the local community diagnosed with serious mental health conditions. My areas of expertise and clinical focus include: transference-focused psychotherapy and relational therapy with adults and adolescents, couples therapy and family therapy. I have significant experience providing psychotherapy with adult clients diagnosed with personality disorders, bipolar disorder, major depression, dysthymia, substance abuse and other significant mental health conditions. I also have experience providing structural family therapy, brief strategic family therapy, group therapy, motivational interviewing, intensive case management, strengths-based treatment, trauma-informed care and wellness/recovery approaches. My primary theoretical interests include: psychodynamic therapy, self psychology, object relations, attachment and neuroplasticity.
