I am/was (not going to reveal my information to the firm in this review) a government employee and spoke with someone I know at the Commonwealth Office of Financial Institutions. I had used Equity Advisors for some investments and tax services for a little while until I found out from my friend that the Commonwealth had taken them to court for charging clients too much. Equity Advisors actually had to pay fines to the state and agree to not charge such a high percentage for the amount of clients' assets managed. I'm not sure if they're sticking to their part of th
