New barber shop in town, opened 03/02/2012. Big E’s Barber Shop, located in the Fruitville/ Cattlemen Road area off of Palmer Blvd, and is owned by Eric Hottman. Eric graduated from Bradenton Beauty and Barber School in 2007 and worked at Today’s Cut and Cattlemen Barber Shop in Sarasota. In 2012, he decided what the area needed was an affordable barber shop that was tailored for a different crowd. Big E’s Barber shop has an atmosphere that is geared towards more towards the men and a retreat where men can feel like they are retreating to the ‘man cave’. Big E’s offers the flat screen T.V’s and all of the old and modern rock music. Playing off of Eric’s passions for music, motorcycles and of course his trade, barbering, Big E’s combines all this aspects into a shop where a man can feel, well, like a man. Big E’s is open Tuesday through Saturday with early or evening hours to accommodate any customer upon request. The cuts are priced at $12.00 with a neck shave and beverages are available for all customers, including ice cold beer. Big E’s is a unique a place and is different than the other barber shops in town. Big E’also gives the customer a chance to sit in an 1880 Koken Barber chair, which has been refinished to reflect the style of Big E’s Barber shop.

Been all around.... Best cut ever. Big E takes time to do you right. Shop is clean and nice. Straight razor shave is a plus. The atmosphere is easy and conversation good. Highly recommend this shop.
