Does your cat or dog need a well-pet exam, a medical diagnosis, geriatric care, or home euthanasia? Home Pet Vet cares for your pet’s needs in the comfort and convenience of your own home. Appointments are made week days 9-5, unless otherwise noted on my phone message. I’m Dr. Mikel Oswalt, and I started Home Pet Vet in 1991. I knew some animals didn’t get the veterinary care they needed because it was too difficult to get them to the doctor. I love the area and traveling to people’s homes lets me see the beautiful Pacific Northwest from many angles. Most importantly, I get to see pets where they live. This often helps me discover environmental issues that might not be discussed in a veterinary clinic. I make home visits for cats and dogs within a 10-mile radius of Mercer Island, Washington, including downtown Seattle, north to Northgate, south to the north end of Boeing Field, west to Queen Anne and Freemont; downtown Renton, downtown Issaquah, downtown Kirkland, and West Seatttle north of South Seattle Community Collage, the watertowers on 35th, and the north end of Lincoln Park. I provide pet checkups, vaccinations, medical diagnosis and treatment, geriatric evaluations, and end-of-life consultations. I am pleased to announce that Home Pet Vet has been selected for the 2011 Best of Mercer Island Award in the Veterinarians category by the US Commerce Association (USCA). I specialize in home euthanasia (putting your cat or dog to sleep at home), and can provide aftercare of your pet’s body if needed. Whether your pet is a newborn or is approaching the end of its life, I’d love to become your pet’s personal physician.
