We have state of the art medical equipment and equipment to diagnose and treat all eye disease including refractive, cataract, diabetic, glaucoma, and macular degeneration eye disease.  Dr. Bruening has been performing cataract surgery for 20 years, longer than any other ophthalmologist in Siouxland.  Dr. Pratt has 20 years of optometric experience dealing with complex contact kens fittings and the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. Dr. Bruening has been performing cataract surgery for 20 years, longer than any other ophthalmologist in Siouxland.  Dr. Pratt has 20 years of optometric experience dealing with complex contact kens fittings and the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. Dr. Bruening is trained and Board Certified in general ophthalmology with 16 years experience in comprehensive medical and surgical eye care, with cataract, refractive, cosmetic, glaucoma and motility disorders.  She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Iowa Medical Society, Past President of the Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology and the Woodbury County Medical Society. Dr. Pratt began his optometric career in the Quad Cities splitting time in private practice with Mark Wilkinson, O.D., a low vision expert, Brent Neilson, O.D., a vision therapy expert, and Robert Flattly, M.D., a medical practice.  He then relocated to Sioux City in 1987, where he began working for Vision Express and later leasing space from Pearle Vision doing business as Siouxland EyeCare Professionals.  For over twenty years he has been a member of the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association and the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
