Victor A. Cooper Jr, Insurance agency founder, was born near Yoakum, Texas in 1920. He graduated from A & I University, now Texas A & M Kingsville. After serving as a captain in the airforce, during World War II, Victor Cooper moved to Wortham, Texas, where he raised cattle and started his insurance agency in 1947. In 1957, he moved his insurance agency to Corsicana, Texas. Dennis Cooper was born in Mexia, Texas in 1950 where he was raised in the cattle and insurance business. From 1964 to 1968 he worked for Withrow Furniture Store while going to Corsicana High School. From 1968 to 1972 he owned and operated Student Lawn Service while going to college at Texas Tech University. In 1972 he started his insurance business, entered graduate school at Texas A& M Commerce, and worked for General Electric Lamp Division. In 1977 Dennis and Victor Cooper merged their agencies in Corsicana, Texas. Victor Jr retired in 1983. Dennis is the Past President of the Mid-Texas Life Underwriters Association, Past President of the Corsicana Lions Club, Life Member of the Corsicana Chamber of Commerce,and believes in operating his insurance company with Christian principles (Matthew 7:12). Victor A. Cooper III was born in Corsicana, Texas in 1978 and Graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1997. Victor Cooper III received a tennis scholarship to Washburn University in Topeka Kansas. Victor won the 1998 Kansas State College tennis tournament & made it to the quarter finals at the National College Tournament. Victor III graduated with a Masters Degree from Lamar University in Beaumont Texas. Victor III has assisted in the family insurance business all his life & runs the Waxahachie Texas location.
