In a small kitchen in Shiraz, one of ancient Persia’s oldest cities, known for its world-renowned poets, wine, and flowers, a woman prepares a meal for her family. On this warm arid afternoon a welcome breeze blows through the window, creating a comforting aroma – a blend of fragrant smells from the family’s garden, endowed with beautiful flowers and fruit trees. The kitchen is a stage for an aromatic symphony, filling the home with the sweet spicy aroma of saffron, and other fresh herbs used to prepare a traditional Persian family dinner. Ashi embraces life with a certain passion. Her meals, small masterpieces, are prepared with loving hands for her family. Young Nooshin watches her mother attentively, tending to minor tasks to help Ashi, in the kitchen. These are special times. Not only is Nooshin captured in the moment, but she is also cultivating what will become a life-long love for cuisine, leading her down a path to become the owner of Noosh Kitchen, a quaint restaurant of distinction located in a suburb north of Atlanta.
