The Northern has been a part of Billings’ history for more than a century and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.  Originally built in 1904, the hotel was prosperous until the fall of 1940 when it burned to the ground, only to rise again, more sophisticated and beautiful than ever.  Most recently, the Northern has undergone a complete renovation and has become one of the most modern and luxurious hotels in Montana. Our Serta Elite 2100 Plush mattress (not too soft and not too firm) and specially made box springs will have you sleeping like a baby.  We’ve custom-designed key elements such as upholstered headboards, prairie landscape murals, and touch-of-the-West details so that our 160 high-style rooms and suites that are sure to pamper your senses.
