The Palm Springs Air Museum contains one of the world's largest collections of flying WWII airplanes.
Review
Opened in 1996 on Veterans'Day, this unique non-profit museum features over 25 restored, flying World War II aircraft. Many of the docent volunteers are on site daily to answer questions and lead visitors through the collection with first-hand experience as verteran WWII pilots. The facility consists of three hangars making up more than 70,000 square feet of space as well as administrative offices, library/learning center, restoration shop and a gift store.
