Nearby, the Sylvan Heights Bird Park in Scotland Neck hosts the world's largest collection of waterfowl and plenty of fun activities for kids (open year-round). Walk Roanoke Canal Trail, visit Raleigh or the beach. Tour historic Halifax and go antiquing. Four miles away is Hickory Meadows, a challenging 18-hole golf course-no tee times! This KOA is only 15 minutes from Carolina Crossroads Music and Entertainment District, with concerts and special events. Pets enjoy a large, fenced pet area at KOA.
