Jefferson and Mt. Hood. Lake Billy Chinook-where the Deschutes, Crooked and Metolius rivers converge-and Haystack Reservoir lie less than 15 minutes away and offer every kind of water sport. Hikers, rock climbers and rock hounds are in heaven among national grasslands, national forests and Smith Rock State Park. The campground offers plenty of recreation, too, with a heated outdoor pool, weekend ice cream socials, pancake breakfasts, glo-light parades, banana-bike and pedal-kart rentals, a "pebble puppy" area for kids and a staff that's lots of fun!
