I always smile when I hear someone call me the “community service guy.” Our agency spends as much time as possible giving back to the community and is involved in more than 60 different service projects each year. For some projects, we assist local organizations, such as the Mississippi Coalition for Domestic Violence, and other times we host our own events. Each school year our agency gives more than 3,000 underprivileged kids a backpack with all of the supplies that they need for school. One of the reasons that I am proud to work for Allstate is that the company is committed to giving back. It is also very gratifying to know that I make a difference in the customers' lives as well. I often tell people that I have made three great decisions — getting married to my wife, becoming a parent and working at Allstate.
