About
Our Therapists Michael Sommers P.T.A, L.A.T.C, P.E.S is the Clinic Director of our Wareham office. Michael received his Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training from Quinnipiac University and an Associate in Physical Therapy from Newbury College. Mike also holds a certification as a Performance Enhancement Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine as well as being a Certified Golf Fitness Specialist. Mike has extensive experience working with Athletes from high school age up to professionals. Mike has 14+ years of experience in the fields of sports medicine and orthopedics. At Physiotherapy, we also offer Golf specific and sports performance enhancement Programs, designed by our clinicians who hold certifications/ specializations in these fields. We are proud to offer F.A.S.T. - Female Athlete Sports Training - A program designed to enhance female athletic performance and decrease the incidence of A.C.L and other knee injuries. The program incorporates plyometrics/ jump training, strength training, core stability, and flexibility.
