Dr. Hurst, is a board certified Tucson plastic surgeon, who currently practices at the Institute for Plastic Surgery, a division of Arizona Community Surgeons. Dr. Hurst carried out his plastic surgery residency at the University of Utah where he experienced a great diversity of cases from both a reconstructive and aesthetic perspective. He was offered and accepted the prestigious von Delien-Curtis Fellowship in craniofacial plastic surgery at Indiana University where he received highly specialized training in all aspects of facial rejuvenation enhancement and reconstruction in adults and children. Dr. Hurst is certified in plastic surgery by two different entities, the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Hurst is credited with initiating the multidisciplinary breast reconstruction and the maxillofacial reconstruction programs. Dr. Hurst also partnered with his colleagues at the Children’s Rehabilitation Services Clinic to develop the cleft team that has since been recognized by the American Cleft Palate Craniofacial Association. Until recently he was an Associate Professor and acting Chief of Plastic Surgery at the University of Arizona. Dr. Hurst performed some of the most complicated and challenging reconstructive procedures in the state during his time at the University or Arizona. Patients from around the world have sought out his expertise. In his practice, Dr. Hurst offers a patient centered approach. From there we formulate a plan that meets your goals.” Dr. Hurst specializes in facial rejuvenation: face-lifts, neck lifts, rhinoplasties and blepharoplasties (eyelids). His extensive experience also includes breast surgeries (enlargements, reductions, lifts and reconstructions) and assorted body contouring procedures such as abdominoplasties (tummy tucks), liposuction and brachioplasties (arm lifts).
