She graduated from University of Iowa in 2008 earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, and minoring in Spanish and English. In the fall of 2008 Shannon attended Drake University Law School where she graduated in the spring of 2011. While at Drake University Law School, Shannon participated in the Legislative Practice Program, serving as an intern for a state senator during the 2012 legislative session and representing the interests of juveniles during the 2013 legislative session as a student lobbyist for the Middleton Center for Children’s Rights.
