Ann Wilkinson of Hands on Health serves as a bridge between traditional and holistic practices. For example, two people can experience the same type of accident, but their bodies respond differently due to a variety of previous experiences. The skill of a successful therapist lies in an awareness of past patterns and underlying influences, and understanding of both pathology and function. The innate ability to listen both to what a person says, and to what they don't say. How their body responds to movements and touch, to gain a true understanding of the underlying root causes of pain and discomfort.
