Dr. Yangun Zhong can trace her acute interest in medicine back to when she was a teenager. Her mother suffered from Bell's Palsy and required medical intervention to recover from the disease. It was through acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine that her mother conquered her illness. The transformation was almost instantaneous, and had a profound effect on her. She saw firsthand how illness strains internal health, physical beauty, and mental stability.
