Peter Hon, MD, is a general surgeon, who specializes in colorectal surgery at Northern Westchester Surgical Associates in Putnam Valley, New York. In collaboration with Michelle Gordon, DO, Dr. Hon offers patients the highest-quality care, fast scheduling for surgery, and a commitment to getting patients back home, as soon as possible. The collaborative approach of Northern Westchester Surgical Associates allows Dr. Hon to offer his patients the benefit of having two experienced general surgeons in the operating room, when necessary. Among Dr. Hon’s areas of expertise are laparoscopic colectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, laparoscopic appendectomy, and complex colorectal surgeries, including for colon or rectal cancer. Dr. Hon completed a fellowship at Baylor University and his residency training at the North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System. He graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse and received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University.
