Our RotaPump Model 100 is a portable 12, 24,or 48 VDC surface-mounted inertial-lift monitoring well development, purging , and sampling pump capable of lifting water from 100 feet or more, depending on the power supplied. Besides using our standard 1/2 HP DC motor mounted on the pump, the pump can be operated with a portable DC drill, AC drill, or hand drill. Using the pump there is no possibility of cross contamination among wells and there is no need to decontaminate equipment. The pump is well suited for low-flow sampling because the flow rate can be precisely controlled under DC operation with our pulse width modulator speed controller. The pump can also be used to pump all seven channels of Solinst's continuous multichannel tubing (CMT) simultaneously, reducing sampling effort and sampling time considerably. We developed the pump for use in our own environmental consulting practice and have found it saves time and money without loss of data quality. Monitoring wells less than about 150 feet deep can be developed, purged, and sampled using this pump. Each pump is hand assembled and guaranteed against defects in parts and assembly. Parts are aluminum, stainless steel, and Teflon impregnated Delrin (a very hard slippery plastic). We offer pump mounting equipment to pump wells installed in aboveground surrounds.
