The adjustment can be delivered by hand or with a mechanical instrument called an Activator. Flexion distraction is an adjustment done to help a herniated disk heal. Rehabilitation helps to restore muscles and ligaments to as close to normal function as possible through individually designed exercise and stretch programs.
