At Christopher Park Veterinary Hospital we believe in treating all animals as if they were our own. We greatly value the human animal bond. We are located in The West Village of Manhattan and service all areas including Greenwich Village, Chelsea, Tribeca, Soho, Hudson Square, Both our Veterinarians have over 20 years experience working with animals. We believe pets should be seen by the same veterinarians to become thoroughly familiar with their unique medical issues, instead of being seen by multiple doctors. Both Dr. James Melendez and Dr. Howard Cohen are medical directors of Christopher Park Animal Hospital and are the only staff veterinarians. Our services include routine wellness exams for cats, dogs, birds, reptiles, and small mammals including rabbits, ferrets, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice and rats, vaccinations, illness exams, health certificates including USDA accredited paperwork including birds, microchipping, routine spays, neuters, soft tissue surgery, behavioral consults, in house pharmacy, euthanasia, cremation, hospitalization, dentistry, x-rays including digital x-rays, and digital dental x-rays. We have a full in house laboratory, to get results immediately when needed as well as a reference lab for all lab tests. We also offer the services of board certified soft tissue and orphopaedic surgery on our premises as well as in house ultrasound, chemotherapy and cancer treatment. We see all animals and have special Intensive Care Units that are heat and humidity controlled for birds, and small mammals. Our practice is also available for house-calls and emergency visits.
