Marriage and family therapist, Robyn Brickel, specializes in helping people make and support positive changes in their lives. While working towards change, clients are supported in coping with challenges which may relate to marriage/couples issues, depression, anxiety, addiction and ACOA issues, eating disorders, problems at work, school or home, women's roles, dysfunctional relationships or challenged family systems. Dr. Brickel also helps with addiction/alcohol counseling, trauma counseling, couples counseling, eating disorders counseling. The approach is pro-active and positive, geared toward achieving increased self-esteem and healthier relationships as well as cognitive and behavioral changes. Robyn Brickel licensed in the states of Virginia, Maryland and Connecticut. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). She works extensively with individual's (adults, older children and adolescents), couples and families. Robyn's work with at-risk adolescents goes beyond behavioral interventions and resolving negative school performance, tapping into the strengths of the family system and helping the youth and each family member grow and thrive as individual's and as a cohesive unit.
