Dr. Shabnamzehra Bhojani is adult, child and adolescent psychiatrist, offering patientstreatment based on holistic approach model where she feels multimodel ways of managing and understanding patient symptoms in order to provide highest quality care custom-tailored to each person's unique goals and treatment objectives. As a dual-certified practitioner, Dr. Bhojani provides care for an array of psychiatric and mental health issues, including depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, child behavior issues, ADHD, self-esteem and self-image issues, and declining school performance in children. After earning her Medical degree from the Government Medical College in Miraj, India, Dr. Bhojani earned a Masters of Medical sciences at John H Stroger Hospital of Cook County, followed by a residency in Psychiatry at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. In addition, she has completed training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Columbia University Medical Center and is currently in psychoanalytic training at Columbia University Medical Center. She speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati and Marathi, and is studying Spanish. Dedicated to expanding her understanding in psychiatry, she maintains active memberships in both the American Psychiatric Association and the Queens Psychiatric Association as well as is member of American Psychoanalytic Association. In addition to caring for patients at her private practice, Dr. Bhojani is also the founder and CEO of of Healthy Minds Physician, PLLC, and serves as attending psychiatrist and clinical instructor at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, receiving a “best teacher” award in 2015. She holds certifications from both the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She also is on panel for New York court system and serves as Expert witness in cases related to child custody, domestic violence victims and Immigration related matters including Green card waivers. She evaluates and writes Forensic psychological evaluation reports for child custody, visitation and reports related to Immigration.
