I purchased a Gary Fisher Cake 3 dlx retailing for $1700 from Madison Bicycle Shop. After approximately two years, the frame cracked. As per manufacturer’s direction, I brought the bike back to the shop where I was told by owner Sal that “this will take at least a month, and I can’t tell you anything else”, or words to that effect -- and given a bill for $150 in labor. The owner then abruptly departed to the back (I got the bum’s rush, even though I was neither assertive nor upset, but rather was trying to ascertain in a very friendly way how the process might proceed).
