The mission of the Boulder City Art Guild, Inc. is the promotion of fine art in Southern Nevada. The Guild produces the annual Boulder City Fine Arts Festival, held in Boulder City's Bicentennial Park, on the third weekend in April. The show is open to artists residing in the seven states of the Colorado River Region: Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming. This is a juried show and all works are judged by a panel of artists before an entry is chosen to participate in this annual event. The Guild also hosts an annual show in November of each year in the Boulder City Recreation Department gym. This show gives local artists the opportunity to display their holiday works. The Boulder City Art Guild Gallery and Gift Shop, established in 1996, is located in the historic Boulder Dam Hotel. The Guild Gallery has the distinction of being the first cooperative, or co-op gallery in Southern Nevada. More than 40 member artists display their artwork in the gallery and are on duty every day to serve patrons. Art in the gallery includes acrylic, oils, watercolor, ceramics, fine photography, pottery, sculpture and limited edition prints.
