It was early 1960's. I was in my 20's, just resigned from a Catholic seminary, musical tastes limited to medieval and classical, when a young lady, several years older, suggested the lounge to hear a jazz quintet, piano, drums, sax, trumpet, and (of all things) an accordiion. I was musically reborn. I sit here, listening to a Coltrane album downloaded from iTunes, and the nostalgia overwhelms me.
