Our mortage company required a land survey for a second home we were buying. They chose the survey company and put in a request over a week before the closing date. The survey was to be complete 3 days before we closed. On the closing date, we traveled 3 hours to the title company, only to find out the survey was not complete. The surveyor said it would be done the next day, but it was not. It was not complete the following day either. We then personally contacted the surveyor, who told us it would be another two days.
