Review
The Char which has been around for years (I've eaten there35 years) was Beckley's finest resturaunt even when it began uptown. The food is still excellent but the casual dress and increased prices dims the once elegent establishment. Now it is just like Applebees or Outback. It's lost the excitement of going to the "Char" as a treat or to celebrate a special occassion. If the atmosphere wasn't so relaxed one would not paying the high priced menu.
