I was denied a loan from my local bank after they initially offered me a 30 year rate of 4.5% and I threw away $425 for an appraisal. I ended up closing on my new house last Friday, without any problems through Destiny Mortgage Lending, and with a lower rate of 4.25% and the appraisal fee only being $325. I should have talked to Destiny Mortgage to begin with! I recommended that my best friend call and she's now in the process of refinancing her house to a 15 year loan at 3.5%.
