About
California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) regards its continuing education [University College & Extension Services (UCES)] programs as integral parts of the institution. These programs are viewed as the outreach arm of the University’s overall mission and purpose. Our professional development (non-credit) courses are specifically designed for working adults, with convenient scheduling and registration (no admission to CSULB required). Evenings and weekend classes are available. The Open University is program offered through extension and provides an opportunity for those people who are not currently admitted to and or registered at CSULB (non-matriculated) to enroll in most credit courses offered by the regular university on a "space available" basis. The registration process is easy and admission to the university is not required. Available Summer, Fall, and Spring sessions. Other offerings are our degree completion and Master’s degree programs. Most of these programs are offered in a format that is designed for the working professional in a cohort learning team format. New cohorts begin every Fall. Programs offered through UCES at CSULB are competitively priced, designed with flexible schedules and delivery methods, and will give you up-to-date career skills. Join the many other professionals who need face-to-face or online courses to stay competitive in the job market. CSULB Alumni are given a discount when registering for professional development programs.
