The Thayer hotel was built in 1926 and housed US Military Academy personal and their guests. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, the Thayer Hotel is the only full service hotel on the Hudson River from the George Washington Bridge to Albany. This Gothic style building is located on the south entrance to the academy and provides spectacular views of the Hudson River and the Hudson Highlands. Over the last few years, this wonderful hotel has gone through a 26 million dollar renovation project to bring it to what it is today. The Thayer Hotel offers 151 beautiful guest rooms for your lodging needs. We offer many types of rooms for you to choose from. Our New York Hotel offers Presidential suites, Junior suites, a Bridal Suite, Deluxe guest rooms and rooms with two double beds. If you choose to stay in one of our Presidential suites, you will have chosen the same type of room that Presidents, foreign dignitaries and celebrities have also stayed in. Along with our guest rooms, The Thayer Hotel offers 10 meeting rooms that can accommodate 10-300 people. We are able to handle your every need when it comes to corporate retreats, seminars and business meetings. We offer audio/visual services and other amenities to make your event perfect.
