I have to say how disappointed I was this morning after visiting the local thrift store to purchase a sofa, only to find that it was already sold! I had enquired about it last night and was told the price of this sofa, and was also told that they can't take deposits to hold items, so I said I would be back this morning with the cash as they don't take checks either.
