About

The Bartholomew County Humane Society was established in 1966 to provide humane support, care, shelter, and medical attention to abandoned and homeless animals, to place adoptable animals in permanent homes, and to promote education for responsible pet ownership. The Bartholomew County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that cares for homeless strays in the Bartholomew County area. We greatly depend on donations to properly care for all of our rescued animals asking for a second chance. The BCHS always has at least 100 homeless animals in their care up for adoption. Everything needed to provide for these animals on a daily basis (such as food, litter, medication, cleaning supplies, vaccines, and even the beds they sleep on) rely entirely on generous donations made by people like you! Donations can also be made via PayPal on our website. Give our animals a helping hand! We are also in need of foster homes for orphan kittens, puppies, and special need animals!
