I was getting shin splints so I decided to go to a running specialty store to have an expert pick me out some shoes. I told him my shoe size and he had me get a size bigger but never checked or felt my foot placement in the shoe. I went back the next day and asked them to check and make sure the shoes were the right size because they felt loose and right away the owner started shaking his head and saying that I was lying and they would have made sure by feeling my toes.
