After being told It would be "cheaper" to replace a single portion of this particular part, we said 'o.k, figuring the mechanic knows best...we where wrong. As it turns out, there was a recall on this particular part 3 years ago! Had the mechanic bothered to follow standard procedure and CHECKED THE VIN NUMBER, he would have known about the part recall and we could have had the ENTIRE part replaced for free! We didn't know about this until we had to go to yet NOTHER mechanic) Instead, we paid the $700 and our ran EVEN WORSE!
