I had an appointment recently, not a routine checkup, but a rather important meeting with my doctor because I've been feeling very sick. I called on a Monday morning and scheduled an appointment for that Thursday. When Thursday rolled around, I came into the office, and the receptionist said that I didn't have an appointment.
