I trained extensively in traditional Japanese style karate back in the late 80's and early 90's. I enjoyed the discipline and art form as well as the fitness, meditative self-defense aspects of Karate. I stopped training 14 years ago due to personal reasons but recently decided to start up again. My 7-year old son and I decided it would be something we could do together.
