I came to them with a fairly difficult alteration - a large hole smack dab in the middle of a Lilly Pulitzer dress (read: busy/intricate pattern that should have been impossible to patch without a swatch of the original fabric) - and I was pretty sure I'd get turned away. Instead, they removed a piece of fabric from the hem, positioned it so that it patched the gap in the pattern perfectly, and used different color threads around the perimeter to blend the patch into the pattern. When I went home to examine the work more closely, I had to flip the dress over
