I took my corvette in to have a simple heli-coil put in the rear differential because it was leaking oil. They told me they had to remove the whole diff because of the location of the bolt. However, they forgot to tighten the differential main bolts (the ones that hold it in place)! Luckily, and because I trust very few mechanics, I put it on a lift and took a look under the rear end (just to see if they really removed the rear end or just charged me extra labor).
