I own a 6 year old Havanese named Dewey. He attended PJ's puppy class when he was just 18 weeks old. I thought he would never stop barking, or running off to play with other dogs. After several weeks of PJ's class he was sitting, staying, laying down and he quieted down a lot - all of these on both verbal and hand sign commands. One of the side benefits of these classes is that your dog gets exposed to socializing with other dogs of all sizes.
