In addition to outfitting dancers from head to toe, The Dance Shoppe has also emerged as a popular destination for the gymnast in need of leotards and biketards. “We’ve always carried a line of gymnastics wear, but sales in that area have really been crazy lately,” Mary observed. “I’m not sure if the gymnastics schools’ numbers are up, but we’ve certainly seen an increase in the number of gymnasts we serve.” Back-to-school time for Lincoln dancers has always meant a stop at The Dance Shoppe for the latest lines of dance wear and accessories. With local dance studios gearing up for another busy season, every square inch of the 2,000 square feet at The Dance Shoppe is filled with inventory. If you don’t see what you need at the store in Lincoln’s College View district, at 3841 S. 48th St., Mary can call her Omaha store at 8712 Countryside Village, which opened two years after the Lincoln location. The Dance Shoppe, 3841 S. 48th St. makes shopping fun. The store in the College View district has been outfitting Lincoln’s dancers since 1980.
