We met Dr. Coles during a time of economic hardship; Dr. Coles had volunteered his services through CHAP to residents in Benzie County. To those who may remember the TV show "Marcus Welby, MD," Dr. Coles was the closest physican equivalent in real time. He was caring, concerned, thorough and engaging. He never failed to bring an exemplary bedside manner to our visits. We moved out of the community and miss him.
