Dairy Queen is known all over the world as the premier ice cream shop which offers the most delectable desserts and snacks. We have been providing mouth-watering treats to millions of ice cream lovers since the establishment of our first restaurant in Joliet, Illinois on June 22, 1940 or more than 60 years ago. Since then, we have grown from a small ice cream store to an international ice cream food chain with more than 5,700 locations in the United States and Canada, which already includes our branch in Whitakers, North Carolina. We also have at least 22 other international locations. Today our menu is composed of delectable ice cream treats such as frozen beverages, banana splits, our world-famous original blizzard flavor treats, and blizzard cakes.
